The Ring
a burglar searches a house, until the unexpected return of its occupants sparks off a shambolic chase in pursuit of... The Ring.
the first thing i ever scored and i couldn't have wished for a better introduction to the world of music-to-picture. the film has a great plot, almost no dialogue and a thread of dark humour, all of which combine to make the film a composer's dream. what's more, it went on to win 'best film' at the British Short Film Festival, which was encouragement enough for me to keep me composing and take the whole thing seriously.
